Frank Kitts Promo Video
For this project, I was challenged to create a 90 second promotional video for a location set to a music track. The content had to be safe for viewing by the general public and all used video footage, graphic elements, and imagery had to be created by me.
Target Audience
My first step was to create my target audience. I chose parkour athletes visiting Wellington, New Zealand.
Subject Matter
I researched lots of parkour videos and the kinds of stylistic treatments they had. As Parkour falls under street culture, it generally has a pretty uniform styling. It also takes a lot of inspiration from skate videos therefore, I also researched into various kinds of street culture videos like skating.
Stylistic elements
One thing I noticed with all street culture materials, was it often went hand-in-hand with graffiti. Therefore, I looked at ways I could use it as a way to add additional information for my target audience without having to speak myself. It also would act as a way to add character to my video.
Location
Finally, I settled on a location for the video. Originally I was going to show multiple locations, however due to weather and footage loss issues I chose to settle on  Frank Kitts Park. This is one of the most iconic Parkour locations in Wellington.
Storyboard
I then created a storyboard for how I wanted the video to go. Once I was sure of what I would need I went and filmed it.
The final product.
